Brian Gordon Out of Primary Race

Lower Merion Commissioner Brian Gordon dropped out of the race for the 6th Congressional District on February 26. He entered the race some months after Doug Pike and Manan Trivedi announced their candidacies and leaves Pike and Trivedi as the only candidates vying to represent the Democrats against Jim Gerlach.

Chester County Dems Endorse Trivedi, Kaufman

The Chester County Democratic Committee met on February 20 to endorse local and statewide candidates. Three Democratic candidates are competing in the 6th District to represent Pennsylvania in the U. S. House of Representatives. Manan Trivedi, a doctor and Iraq veteran from Berks County, won the endorsement over Doug Pike, a journalist from Tredyffrin Township, and Brian Gordon, who is a township commissioner in Lower Merion, Montgomery County.

All of the towns in Northern Chester County are in the 6th Congressional District.

The Democratic Committee also unanimously endorsed Fern Kaufman, the Democratic candidate for the 26th District of the Pennsylvania State House. Dr. Kaufman is a hospital pharmacy administrator from West Caln Township.
